$%*'`[tjd]%*'`@I was using your site today, v useful as always. But I ended up
spotting a few problems, so I started looking a bit closer and
found more. I ended up writing a list of what I thought needed changing...
1) The resource drop down form on the main page doesn't seem to work. if I request "language of austria" I get to austria/lowcostairlines. Also having gotten to austria lowcostairlines, I then try the resource box on the left again and this time I get to travel austria irrespective of what I request.
2) the column of countries on the far right of your main page looks like it is hotel reservations by country (thats what it says at the top of the column).
3) doing a site search for 'blah' gets two hits
4) you don't seem to have a map of the UK.
5) The links in the "travelling in" pages to the travel centre are out of date.
6) So are the links to traveller's cafe at the bottom of every page.
7) Your links on the maps pages, to various maps, don't seem to work
8) your language drop-down box only has one language
More Personal points:
1) I would have liked a large map of each country showing the cities and airports (and any near to the border in other countries) so I can figure out what airports are close enough to my destination. You could do this in two or three massive maps.
2) your main page is sooo much more appealing now, but I really want you to change the way you use colour and make headings in the other pages. I know it's none of my business but I believe you can really make it more readable without deleting any text.
Examples:
A) In the right column in /austria/lowcostairlines there are alternating red and grey boxes. How about making it one box, put the heading in large font, and then list the entries below?
B) Your background colour in the middle of that page - pink is OK, but being variagated and blotchy is bad for reading.
C) on the right column you have your logo behind the most important functional features. they are almost camoflaged.
D) your photos are really nice, but making them into web page backgrounds is a distraction. It's annoying because you don't get to see the centre or focal part of the photo anyway. the background for /bosnia is an example of what needs to be deleted.
E) your html, css, hand coded, firefox etc boxes are neat but I think they ought to be at the bottom of the page.
